Vet nurses and students can join free of charge, but each year we invite you to reaffirm your willingness to remain a member.

not to make public statements on behalf of VALE without the permission of the VALE committee
not to do anything that in any way denigrates VALE or harms its public image.

VALE's aims

To provide a mechanism for members of the veterinary profession to register concern for animal welfare issues relevant to live export and to register opposition to the live export trade for slaughter.
To act as a repository of information about the live export industry and associated animal health and welfare issues.
To provide a specific focus for compilation and critical analysis of veterinary and scientific issues concerning live export.
To expose corrupt practices in the live export industry, both at an organisational level and personal level.
To raise the awareness of and educate the public and veterinary profession on animal health and welfare issues relevant to live export.
To influence and seek to change government policies relating to live export.
